Kagetsu & Hazuki vs. Tam Nakano & Starlight Kid
Kagetsu and Hazuki are able to pick up the win after they hit a Chokeslam/Backstabber combo on Nakano to get the pinfall.
Minoru Suzuki & Togi Makabe vs. Zack Sabre, Jr. & Kushida
Suzuki gets the win for his team by tapping out Kushida with a Rear Naked Choke. Suzuki continues to choke Kushida after the bell, leading ZSJ to interject and start to beat down Suzuki. Makabe comes up behind Suzuki as he is striking Suzuki and lays him out with a chain wrapped fist to the head. The heels leave triumphant as the fans boo.
Momo Watanabe & Utami Hayashishita vs. Sumie Sakai & Saki Kashima
Momo picks up the win for her team to the relief of this crowd, who just watched two heel teams get wins in the opening matches, pinning Kashima with a Half Nelson Suplex. Sumie Sakai shoves down Utami after the match, but backs off as Momo turns and looks to strike her, just wanting to get the last bit of heat she could, apparently, but not wanting a real fight.
As promised, we were going to get the contract signing for the World Women's title match at "FEARLESS". The General Manager of ISPW, Nanae Takahashi, would make her way down to the ring, which had a table and two contracts set out on it. Out to the ring first came Manami Toyota to a great ovation, while champion Charlotte Flair would be out next to a loud but mixed reaction from these fans here tonight. Shinpei Nogami was on the call noting the tension here, as we are looking at two of the best females to ever lace up a pair of wrestling boots. Before either woman signed a contract, Charlotte would get on the microphone and say that she is glad to be here in Japan defending her championship... so she can show how naturally superior she is to the Japanese competitors. This gets a huge boo from the crowd. She says she is the alpha woman is this sport, but all she had heard for years is that Japanese women are the best in the world. She says she will break Manami Toyota and kill that myth at "FEARLESS" once and for all! WHOOOO! Charlotte smiles as these fans are whipped up into a pretty big frenzy for a Japanese crowd. Manami Toyota takes the microphone and says she isn't hearing any of that bullshit, and says she doesn't want to wait for "FEARLESS" to kick Flair's smug teeth down her throat! The fans start chanting for Toyota, who looks ready to jump the table, but Nanae has grabbed her by the shoulders as Shinpei sounds like he's about to fall out of his chair with excitement! He knew this would be tense, but he didn't think it would get this hot! Nanae gets on the microphone and says that while she is personally offended by Charlotte's words, she needs to do what is best for the company, and that the match will happen at "FEARLESS" as planned for the championship, once the contracts are signed. Flair shrugs and signs her contract, and Toyota furiously signs her copy. Nanae then smiles, turning to Flair and stating that in the contract, it also states that Flair is to appear on one more date for the company to promote the show... and that she will be part of a tag team match NEXT WEEK right here on "Friday Night CLASH", facing off with Manami Toyota and a partner of her choosing! Some familiar theme music hits, as out walks Mariko Yoshida. Yoshida heads down the ramp and the fans are cheering for her. She takes a microphone and says that at "TRIUMPH" she was busy defeating Akira Hokuto and Bull Nakano in a street fight, and she feels that she was overlooked for an opportunity to get a shot at the World Women's championship thanks to her nemesis Yoshiko Tamura... and Manami Toyota! She says that she arrived here and has done whatever she was asked, fought the good fight, fought everyone put in front of her, but has never been shown the respect she deserves! She says Manami Toyota shows up, and everything is handed to her, and so next week, she will be Charlotte's partner to take down the false idol in Toyota! The fans are booing now, as Yoshida has clearly just made a heel turn and smash her microphone into the head of Toyota, before taking her down with an AIR RAID CRASH THROUGH THE CONTRACT TABLE! SHINPEI NOGAMI AND THE REST OF THE AUDIENCE CAN'T BELIEVE WHAT JUST HAPPENED! Charlotte Flair looks impressed, kind of golf clapping in the corner as she looks on at the mayhem while Nanae tries to regain control and talk sense into Yoshida, but Yoshida shoves her away and leaves the ring. Flair's music hits and she poses on the buckles with her title, and sort of laughs at the fallen Toyota, miming kicking dirt on her before she leaves and the fans boo the champion.
Great Sasuke vs. Hiromu Takahashi
These two men have a great and wild match that ends in a double disqualification, as the referee cannot get these men back into the ring to finish the match! These fans are certainly left wanting more.
ISPW INTERNATIONAL FEMALE TITLE TOURNAMENT: ROUND TWO
Io Shirai vs. Meiko Satomura
As we suspected, the injured leg of Shirai at the hands of Yoshiko Tamura last week played a big role in this match, and Satomura had no problem exploiting it. Shirai would still put on a good showing, but she was visibly hampered. Tamura would come down the ramp near the end of the match and distract Shirai on the top rope, leading Satomura to catch her up top and take her down with a HUGE Super Death Valley Bomb, leading Satomura to get the three count and advance to the finals of the tournament! This was a big let down to many fans, however, as Shirai had to be a favorite going into this tournament to win the whole thing, with her skills and popularity, but now it seems Tamura made sure that would never happen.
CIMA, Tama Tonga, and Jay White vs. Juice Robinson, Kota Ibushi, and Tetsuya Naito
This was a fun match, as there was a lot of charisma and personality going on from all six of these men, who are certainly some of the best wrestlers anywhere in the world. Juice Robinson would actually avenge his loss to CIMA last week, rolling up the champion for a pinfall, but not having to use the tights like CIMA did! After the match, CIMA looked shocked, but the tension between Jay White and Tetsuya Naito may have been a slightly bigger story. White had attacked Naito after their match last week, but it was this week Naito got the receipt on White after the match, running up behind him and delivering DESTIN-OOOO!!! before rolling out of the ring to avoid any static from his partners.
ISPW INTERNATIONAL FEMALE TITLE TOURNAMENT: ROUND TWO
Hiroyo Matsumoto vs. Mayu Iwatani
Hiroyo Matsumoto attacked Mayu Iwatani to send a message last week, but Mayu proved she was not going to take that lying down, getting her revenge early by coming out and attacking Hiroyo from behind midway through her entrance down the ramp, and these fans were going nuts! The crowd was heavily behind Mayu throughout the contest, chanting her name and willing her to victory, even as Hiroyo would manage to take control of things later and tried to punish her. Mayu would show her heart, kicking out of a Revolution Bomb from Matsumoto. Matsumoto couldn't believe it as Mayu rolled to the apron. Matsumoto would try to power bomb Mayu to the floor from apron, but Mayu would block it and catch her with a head kick, and would try for a Dragon Suplex but transitioned and hit a GERMAN SUPLEX ON THE APRON! Hiroyo is hurt bad on the outside. Mayu would then fly off the top to the outside, further damaging Matsumoto. Mayu would send Matsumoto back to the inside and went up top again, but Matsumoto would catch her up top and deliver a Super Overhead Belly to Belly Suplex! She would pin Mayu, but only a two! Matsumoto would pick her up and deliver a Lariat, but ONLY A ONE COUNT! Mayu is fired up, screaming at Matsumoto! Matsumoto kicks her in the face and tries for another Lariat, but Mayu ducks it and catches her, and grabs her arms back, but Hiroyo blocks to the Dragon Suplex attempt. Mayu spins her and delivers a dropkick, followed by a Buzzsaw Kick! Hiroyo is rocked, and Mayu lifts her up and Hiroyo tries to fight it, but Mayu screams out, pulling her over and dumps her with the Dragon Suplex, holding on for the three count! Mayu Iwatani is going to the finals to face off against Meiko Satomura for the International Female Title!
Katsuyori Shibata & Toshiaki Kawada vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi & Munenori Sawa
This was a very good contest that had many layers to it, as Kawada and Tanahashi have been embroiled in an intense feud, while Shibata and Sawa have some unfinished business from the second ever show of ISPW, which saw the two wrestle a no contest due to interference. The history between Shibata and Tanahashi is a bit more storied and complicated, as these two clearly do not like each other and have been throwing shade at one another since before Tanahashi even arrived in ISPW. Shibata and Sawa also do not like each other, having very different philosophies on just about everything, and this lead to one of the stiffest, most intense tag team matches we've seen in this promotion. The end of the match came after a heated showdown between Sawa and Kawada, which showed Sawa's amazing heart despite trading strikes with a many who has around 50 lbs. on him, leading to Sawa to try to lock Kawada down with a Triangle Choke, only to get slammed on his back and then Kawada delivered a Folding Powerbomb to end the match. Kawada wasn't done, though, and delivered brutal downward stomps to Sawa after the match, leading Tanahashi into the ring with a chair to attack Kawada in a rather uncharacteristically brutish fashion! Tanahashi would get on the microphone and challenge Kawada to a no disqualification match at "FEARLESS", which Kawada would grab a mic and accept, much to the fans enjoyment.
