The show begins with Yuji Shindo, MEN's Teioh, and Toshie Uematsu welcoming all of the fans back for the latest edition of "MONDAY NIGHT RAGE"! They go over what happened last week, and we see graphics for the big matches that are going to take place at "Triumph". With one show to go, Teioh says he expects things to keep getting crazy here in ISPW!
We head to the ring for the first match of the night.
Mayu Iwatani & Momo Watanabe defeat Hiroyo Matsumoto & Emi Sakura after Iwatani delivers a Dragon Suplex to Sakura for the pinfall. Hiroyo and Sakura would try to make this a chaotic match, but Iwatani was showing a lot of unorthodox mannerisms throughout this match and seems to have "snapped" a bit, making her seem very dangerous. Watanabe has great spirit and charisma as well, so the fans were behind these two as they managed to rally to a victory. Matsumoto bailed on Sakura in the end, seeing things unraveling and wanting to save face, as Iwatani and Watanabe stand tall tonight.
Backstage, CIMA, Shuji Kondo, and Masaaki Mochizuki, otherwise known as Crazy MAX, are standing in a semi-circle discussing the game plan for tonight. They talk about Koji Kanemoto, and how he had masked men come to his aid. CIMA says that didn't matter then, as he was still able to get the win and move on in the tournament. Kondo says that's great for CIMA, but all of that bullshit lead to him getting kneed in the face by Sawa and eliminated from the tournament, so he's not taking this very lightly. CIMA says no matter what, they need to stick together and stick to their plan, because at the end of all of this, Crazy MAX is going to be in possession of the gold here in ISPW. They all high five and walk down the hall as the segment comes to an end and we head back to the ring.
Kota Ibushi defeats Kushida with the Kamigoye to get the pinfall. This was a very spirited back and forth between two guys these fans really admire. Kushida really wanted this win, and was trying to pull out all of the stops, but Ibushi had him scouted and wouldn't let him hit the Back to the Future to put him away. These two would trade blows near the end, leading Ibushi to deliver a series of big open hand strikes and shoot kicks, taking Kushida down to a knee, leading Ibushi to grab Kushida by the arms and pull him into a kneestrike to the face, a move he calls Kamigoye, and that knocked Kushida unconscious for the three. The two would shake hands after the match in a sign of respect, and these fans applauded both men for laying it all on the line tonight.
We go backstage to the lockerroom, where we see Hiroshi Tanahashi standing in, wearing one of his branded t-shirts and looking into the camera. Tanahashi says that Toshiaki Kawada made a pretty big statement two weeks ago when he attacked him during his interview with Mio Shirai. He says Kawada also had a lot of words for him in his own interview, and seemed to be BEGGING Tanahashi to come and pick a fight with him. Tanahashi says he knows Kawada is watching this, and he knows tonight Kawada makes his in ring debut. Tanahashi says that if it's a fight Kawada is looking for, he might want to be careful what he wishes for... He might want to think twice before waking a sleeping dragon. A beat goes by as Tanahashi stares with intensity in his eyes into the camera, and then we head back to the ring for our next match.
Kyoko Inoue, Chigusa Nagayo, and Lioness Asuka defeat Dynamite Kansai, Ayako Hamada, and Sumie Sakai after Kyoko Inoue delivered a Lariat to Dynamite Kansai to put her down for the three count. Inoue was pinned last week by her rival Kansai after a devastating headkick, but tonight she was able to get some revenge. Kansai had just delivered a high kick to Chigusa, sending her off the apron to the outside, only to turn and catch the Lariat from Inoue flush, allowing Inoue to get the pinfall.
Kansai was visibly upset after this, frustrated by Inoue getting the one up on her tonight. Her partners would try to console her, but Kansai would shove them away and grab the microphone, yelling to Inoue that she wants her ass at "Triumph" and wants to show her once and for all who the best truly is! Inoue takes the microphone and says she would love to crush Kansai again, one on one, and shut her big mouth! This match is on for the supershow!
We go backstage, where we see Katsuyori Shibata pulling up his kneepads. Into the shot walks his opponent for the evening, Zack Sabre, Jr. Shibata stands, and the two are face to face, nearly nose to nose. Sabre kind of laughs and tells Shibata to be a cool, cause he's not here to fight. He just wanted to say he looks forward to facing off with him tonight. Shibata says he doesn't give a damn why Sabre is there, and that tonight, he's just another step on the path that leads him to the World Heavyweight championship. Sabre kind of chuckles, and says that's all well and good, but he might have a bit of trouble with that bloke Rollins with a broken arm. Shibata now chuckles, and says Sabre is delusional, and that maybe after he kicks him in the head and knocks him out in the center of the ring, maybe Sabre will come back to reality... where he is not, and never will be, as good as Katsuyori Shibata. Sabre says Shibata sounds insecure and touch worried. Sabre says Shibata should finish getting dressed and maybe practice tapping out, because tonight, that's how his night ends. Sabre gives Shibata the old cheers, mate, treatment, and walks off. Shibata narrows his glare and gives Sabre a sayonara, and you can tell the main event is going to be an intense one.
Toshiaki Kawada defeats Dragon Kid with a Triple Powerbomb, followed by stomps, leading to referee stoppage. Kawada was making his debut here en route to his big showdown with Hiroshi Tanahashi at "Triumph", and he came to send a serious message. This ass kicking didn't take long, and it sure wasn't pretty. Dragon Kid tried to avoid contact early, using his speed and agility to out maneuver Kawada, but after a series of armdrags and an attempt at a headscissors, Kawada was able to power out of Kid's attempt at offense and started laying into him with brutal strikes. The fans cringed and turned away as Kawada tried to seemingly murder DK. Kid would try to fight back, showing his heart, delivering a series of inside elbows and an enzuigiri. DK would then try for a Running Huracanrana, but Kawada reversed it into a Powerbomb... and then another... and then another! Kawada would fold him over for a pinfall, but let him go. MEN'S Teioh was yelling from commentary for the referee to stop the match, as Kid was clearly done, but it took a series of stomps to Kid's head and upper body before the referee finally stopped the contest. Kawada, however, didn't feel like stopping the carnage and continued to try to smash Kid like a bug under his boot.
This lead to HIROSHI TANAHASHI running down to the ring! Kawada had attacked him two weeks ago during an interview, and now it seemed he was looking to get a receipt! Tanahashi rushed under the ropes and Kawada turned to him and tried to catch him with a High Kick, but Tanahashi ducked it and ran off the ropes, catching Kawada with the Sling Blade! Kawada is hurt and rolls out of the ring, but Hiroshi flies out with his Dragon Rocket Dive, and the fans are going crazy! Tanahashi continues to deliver mounted punches to Kawada until officials make their way out to separate the two! Hiroshi rolls back into the ring and grabs a microphone as Kawada holds his head and retreats up the ramp, escorted by officials trying to keep the peace. Tanahashi says Kawada asked for it, he wants a fight, and at "Triumph", he's getting a FIGHT with "The Ace of the Universe", and he's going to regret it! Kawada smiles his toothless smile, which turns to a sneer, and this situation is at a boiling point!
We see video footage of Manami Toyota and Ayumi Kurihara meeting fans outside for autographs and pictures earlier in the day, when they are interrupted by Yoshiko Tamura and Sonoko Kato, who throw down some of the fans phones and rip up their autographed posters and toss their t-shirts on the ground and stomp them! Toyota and Kurihara go after Tamura and Kato until security splits them up! Tamura yells at Toyota that she's a loser, and she can kiss her World title dreams goodbye! She tells the fans they can kiss her ass, because tonight, they are taking down their heroes! Toyota yells at Tamura that she is a coward, and cowards always fail in the end! She says she can play all of the games she wants, but at "Triumph", it's game over for Tamura!
We go to the announcer's table after that footage ends, and Shindo and the rest of the crew are taken aback at the antics of Tamura and Kato. Teioh says that love of the fans and showing them respect is what keeps this business going, because without the fans, there is no ISPW. Uematsu says that Tamura and Kato don't care about anything, and that all they can think about is getting a mental edge over Toyota and Kurihara going into their tag team match tonight, and ultimately "Triumph". They will sink to any low necessary to achieve that goal.
We head back to the ring for the next contest.
Io Shirai defeats Meiko Satomura with a Moonsault Double Stomp to get the pinfall. Satomura and Shirai have tangled in tag team action, but this was the first singles contest either woman has had thus far in ISPW. Shirai's high speed, high impact offense was a stark contrast to the grounded, punishing style of Satomura, and she used her high flying skills to get over with the crowd. Satomura helped the cause, getting these fans to turn on her by slowing things down during the bulk of the middle of this match, taunting Shirai and the fans as she stretched her and worked her neck. Shirai would rally back, delivering a Corner Double Knee Attack, followed by a Trifecta Moonsault succession to get a two count. Shirai would signal to the fans and attempt a Tombstone, but Satomura would reverse it and lock Shirai down with a Fujiwara Armbar as a reversal. Shirai would get close to the ropes, leading Satomura to turn it into a Arm-trap Crossface! Shirai would manage to get to the ropes, shoving off of them and rolling Satomura up for a two count as a counter to the hold! Back up, Satomura would attempt a Roundhouse Kick, which was ducked and lead Shirai to hit a Huracanrana, followed by an STO, also earning her just a two count! Shirai would point to the top rope and head up there, but Satomura would manage to recover and meet her up top. The two would trade blows, which Satomura seemed to get the better of, and Meiko would try for a Superplex, but Shirai would hang on and shove her off, sending Satomura back first to the mat, hard. Shirai would turn and do a backflip off the top, coming down hard on Satomura with a Moonsault Double Stomp, and that's all she wrote! Very good back and forth match here, but the exciting up and comer Shirai was the better woman tonight.
Before the next match, we see Munenori Sawa standing in with Mio Shirai. Shirai says tonight Sawa has to team with "The Dark Messiah" Koji Kanemoto, a man few would want to align themselves with. Sawa says all he can go is worry about himself, his attitude, his outlook, and his preparations. He says Crazy MAX are going to have the advantage going into this match, because they are established and a well oiled machine when it comes to getting the outcomes they want. He says Crazy MAX have meddled in things in ISPW, and now CIMA has a match with him for the ISPW International championship at "Triumph". He says he knows Kanemoto is dangerous, but maybe Crazy MAX might learn a lesson through all of this, as maybe Kanemoto and his masked friends are more dangerous than even Crazy MAX. Whatever the case may be, Sawa says he wants to get a piece of CIMA tonight and get a feel for what is to come in the International title match at "Triumph". He says "The Positive Force of ISPW" will persevere tonight, one way or another, and at "Triumph", he will beat the odds and be wearing the International title at the end of the night!
Munenori Sawa & Koji Kanemoto defeat CIMA & Shuji Kondo after Sawa pins Kondo with the Shining Wizard. Much like last week, Sawa manages to get the pinfall over Kondo with a Shining Wizard, but there was a lot more to this match than the result. Koji Kanemoto had two masked men come out and interfere on his behalf last week in his match with CIMA, and they appeared once again tonight, causing chaos. Masaaki Mochizuki was outside trying to watch his Crazy MAX stablemates' backs, and tried to fend off the two foes, but things broke down and distractions were abound. This week, though, Great Sasuke, Hayabusa, and Jinsei Shinzaki all ran down and would clear the ringside area, getting rid of Mochizuki and the two masked men! With the referee's back turned, ANOTHER MASKED MAN ENTERED THE RING! Sawa was picking himself up in the corner, with CIMA and Kanemoto fighting on the outside, and the masked man in the ring proceeded to deliver a Yakuza Kick to Shuji Kondo! The fans seem to have an idea who this is from that one move, as he stands, menacing over Kondo before calmly exiting, Sawa and the referee none the wiser to what just happened. Kondo is shook here, trying to pick himself up as Sawa turns and sees him in the center of the ring. Sawa proceeds to deliver the knee strike, and the referee makes the three count, and this match is all over. Kanemoto is certainly going to have some explaining to do after all of this. Sawa celebrates in the ring, unaware of the tainted nature of the victory, as Kanemoto smiles from the ramp and CIMA looks confused and concerned for Kondo inside of the ring.
We go to an off site location, where we see Akira Hokuto and Bull Nakano, "The Alliance of Violence", standing in front of a construction site, as a bull dozer is knocking over a structure. Hokuto says that Aja Kong and Mariko Yoshida think it's some sort of mistake that Hokuto and Nakano handed them their asses two weeks ago, and left them beaten and bloodied in the streets. Nakano laughs before saying that the only mistake is that Kong and Yoshida's pride have allowed them to think they could defeat The Alliance of Violence in a street fight! Hokuto says that just like that building behind them, Kong and Yoshida are going to get destroyed, and erased from existence if they don't stay out of their way!
Sonoko Kato & Yoshiko Tamura defeat Ayumi Kurihara & Manami Toyota after Kato pins Kurihara with a Reverse Tombstone to get the pinfall. Toyota and Tamura are set a to have a huge 2 out of 3 falls match at "Triumph" to decide who will challenge the MUW World Women's champion at the next supershow, and the tension could be cut with a knife tonight. Both ladies have gained a pinfall over the other in tag team action in the past, and the score was looking to be settled at "Triumph". Tonight, after some quick and spirited exchanges, things came down to Kato and Kurihara. Kurihara has been an adversary of Kato and Tamura since day one of ISPW, and Kurihara was able to get the win over Kato's team last week in six woman tag action. This week would not be the same, as Kato caught Kurihara trying to deliver a Uranage to Tamura, delivering a Spin Kick to her head to knock her loopy before hoisting her up and smashing her with the Reverse Tombstone, cradling her for the pinfall and the three count.
After the match, Tamura attacks Toyota, stomping her knee and pulling her to the turnpost, where she applied a Bret Hart-style Figure Four, using the turnpost, trying to inflict damage on Toyota and slow her down heading into their big showdown at "Triumph". Tamura lets go of the hold as the fans boo her wildly, but she soaks it in, telling them all to bow down to the "Boss Bitch of ISPW", just like Toyota will at "Triumph"!
Backstage, Mio Shirai catches up with Koji Kanemoto and asks for answers about the now THREE masked men we've seen come to his aid in the last couple of weeks. "The Dark Messiah" says he needs give Mio or anybody an explanation, but he says "The Under Lord" and his disciples will all be revealed at "Triumph". This leads Shuji Kondo and the rest of Crazy MAX to enter the shot and say he doesn't give a FUCK who this stupid "Under Lord" is or about any of that crap... he says he wants a match with Kanemoto at "Triumph"! Atsushi Onita and officials hit the scene, as things seem to get escalating, and then into the shot comes Great Sasuke, Hayabusa, and Jinsei Shinzaki! Shinzaki says Kanemoto is messing with forces he should not be, and he will be smited! Great Sasuke says if Kondo and Kanemoto are having a match, he wants a part of it, as they both deserve defeat at the hands of the ninja! Onita says at "Triumph", there will be a three way match: Kondo, Kanemoto, and Sasuke... and tells everybody to get the Hell out of here!
We got to the announcer's table, as Yuji Shindo talks to MEN's Teioh and Toshie Uematsu about everything that has unfolded, and they go over the card for "Triumph". Teioh says all of that is great, and we still have a big match yet to come with Shibata taking on Sabre! We head to ringside, as that match is about to get underway.
Katsuyori Shibata defeats Zack Sabre, Jr. after applying a Sleeper to Sabre, followed by a Penalty Kick to get the pinfall. ZSJ made his debut last week and dispatched Kushida in an impressive showing of technical prowess. Tonight, he looked to get a huge win over the self-proclaimed "Perfect Professional Wrestler", Katsuyori Shibata, who will be facing Seth Rollins at "Triumph" for the MUW World Heavyweight championship. This would have certainly been a landmark win for Sabre, Jr., but alas, it was not to be. Shibata showed his own technical skills, which may not have been quite up to Sabre's, certainly were very formidable. And where Shibata's ring grappling ability may have been just a step below Sabre's, his striking certainly was not. Sabre certainly seems to take pages from Shibata's book when it comes to his own striking game, but he is not Shibata, and that showed tonight, as Katsuyori was on a mission and showed no mercy to the British stand out. After a particularly heated back and forth striking exchange that saw both men looking for a knock out shot, Sabre attempted to take down Shibata and lock him into an armbar, but Shibata was able to escape a Cross Armbar attempt and get Sabre's back, locking him into a Sleeper. Once it seemed Sabre was about to pass out, Shibata released the hold and ran off the ropes, BLASTING Sabre with his feared Penalty Kick, and it was all over. Shibata got the win here tonight, as the fans chant his name and he looks towards his big title shot against Seth F'N Rollins at "Triumph"!
