Shinsuke Nakamura defeated "Macho King" Randy Savage by pinfall. The Believers were hyped up for this match between the royal throne bearers of machismo and strong style. The Believers were enthralled with every psychological tactic used to try to gain the advantage, as well as every actual wrestling maneuver used to change it. The match spilled out to the floor and into the crowd and two occasions. The first time, Savage gave Nakamura a suplex on the hard cement floor above Dario Cueto’s office. Nakamura blocked an attempt by Savage to throw him down to the floor below. They ended up brawling back down the stairs and into the ring, but back out again. The next time, while surrounding by the Believers on the hardwood bleachers, Nakamura jumped through a crowd of Believers to drill Savage in the face with a high knee and then give him an inverted exploder suplex. When the two combatants came back to ringside, Savage was tossed into the ring and he rolled right back out the other side. Nakamura came after him, but got snake eyes as he leaned through the ropes to grab Savage. As the referee checked on Nakamura, Savage grabbed his royal sceptre and brought it into the ring. The referee intercepted him to stop him from using it as a weapon. Savage argued with him over it and that loss of concentration on his opponent proved fatal as Nakamura nailed him with the Bomaye and pinned him for the win.

Paul Heyman pays a visit to Dario Cueto to talk up the merits of his client, Brock Lesnar, and to make a case for why he should be the next in line for a shot to win the Lucha Underground Championship, while insinuating that to decline his client such an opportunity would be to deny the Beast Incarnate what he rightfully deserves because Cueto fears that his baby brother would be absolutely destroyed by the Beast Incarnate. The lights flick off and on. Suddenly, Catrina is in the room and she argues that Lesnar’s single victory isn’t proof of anything and that the real unbeatable force in lucha is Mil Muertes, so if anyone deserves a title match, it is Mil Muertes. Cueto says that he isn’t afraid of what his brother would do to either Lesnar or Mil Muertes and would gladly have the Believers see Matanza chew them both up and spit them out. However, Heyman and Catrina are both here to make their cases, it gives him a great idea for next week’s main event: Brock Lesnar vs. Mil Muertes in a #1 Contender’s Match!

Awesome Kong defeated PJ Black by pinfall. Black used his speed to get an early advantage, but the moment that Awesome Kong moved out of the way of his springboard flying forearm and then gave him a side belly-to-belly suplex, he was done in. From there, Kong give him a chokeslam, an Awesome Bomb, and then the Awesome Splash before pinning him. After winning, she grabbed the microphone from Melissa Santos and said that this display of dominance was meant for The Miz to see what she has in-store for him as soon as he stops ducking her.

Eric Young, Alexander Wolfe & Killian Dain defeated Son of Havoc, Heath Slater & Ultimate Warrior by pinfall to become new Lucha Underground Trios Champions. Despite that SaNiTy appear to lack their namesake, they are a disciplined trio that works much better as a team than the current champions. They isolated Son of Havoc for a large chunk of the match and were able to weather the storm that came when Ultimate Warrior entered the ring to a hot tag and ran roughshod over everyone in his path. However, Young broke up a pinfall attempt on Wolfe after he received a gorilla press drop and the Ultimate Splash. Slater tagged in during the chaotic pier-six brawl before receiving a northern lights suplex as a counter to his Smash Hit DDT and then a diving elbow drop from Young, who got the pinfall while Wolfe kept Son of Havoc at bay and Killian Dain brawled with the Ultimate Warrior away from the ring, on the floor.

Rey Mysterio Jr. meets with Dario Cueto, who tells Mysterio that he is beyond happy to have the king of lucha in his Temple, and that he owes him a debt of gratitude for leading the charge as the great defender of lucha libre and of Lucha Underground against the toxic forces of Alberto El Patron and the Latino World Order, who he says do not honour the traditions of lucha libre. For that, he wishes to honour this debt by giving Mysterio an opportunity to win the Gift of the Gods next week. Mysterio thanks him for the title match and goes to leave.
When Mysterio opens the door, his protégé, Prince Puma, barges into the office to tell Cueto that he has a long-standing beef with him. As you might recall, at Ultima Lucha, Cueto essentially screwed out of the main event spot as the challenger for the Lucha Underground Championship at Ultima Lucha Dos by offering him the prize as the winner of the Battle of the Bulls tournament, only to tell him that it was contingent upon winning one more match against The Miz. Now, Puma wants what is rightfully his. Cueto says that he can’t give him something he hasn’t earned, but he knows a way that he can earn it. Next week, Prince Puma will have a chance to win the Gift of the Gods. That’s right, it will be The Miz defending the Gift of the Gods versus Rey Mysterio Jr. and Prince Puma in a triple threat match!

Matanza Cueto defeated Ultimo Dragon by pinfall to retain the Lucha Underground Championship. There was no denying that Matanza was the more dominating luchador of the two. However, that is not to say that Ultimo Dragon didn’t bring him a fight worthy of a champion. In fact, on a few occasions, it seemed like Ultimo Dragon might have slayed the Monster, as he earned 2-count pinfalls following a shining wizard, a bridging dragon suplex, the Dragon Bomb, and the Asai DDT. However, Matanza would not be denied. He suplexed Ultimo Dragon all over the ring and earned his own near falls off of a top-rope moonsault and a last ride powerbomb. Ultimately, it was Matanza who slayed the Dragon with the Wrath of the Gods.
