EPISODE 3
"The Industry Ruler" Adam Cole vs. "Switchblade" Jay White
Jay White has some menacing to him and really gave Cole a lot to deal with in this short match, but Cole managed to show his smarts in avoiding the overzealous offense of White and making him pay for it. White would attempt to hit his Blade Runner, but Cole would reverse it and Bicycle Kick, followed by the Last Shot to get the pinfall.
"The Technical Wizard" Zack Sabre, Jr. vs. "The Human Torture Device" Drew Gulak
These two put on a show stealing performance, as they aggressively tried to pin each other down into submission. Sabre would relentlessly attack the arm of Gulak, while Gulak would go back to working the left leg of Sabre, both men trying to impose their will. The ground and pound of this match was brutal, and the fans would be left standing by the end in awe as these two slapped, kicked, and headbutted each other in the end, neither wanting to back down around the 12 minute mark until Sabre would lock on a standing Kimura, which was reversed into a slam by Gulak! Gulak would deliver a Kamelin Lift and throw, but trying to lock on a Rear Naked Choke, but Sabre would manage to escape and goes back to the Kimura! Sabre then adjusts the Kimura into a Omoplata, which he then begins to fight with Gulak for a grueling 50 seconds, as Gulak tries to survive, but after working over the already worn arm, Sabre manages to lock in the Jim Breaks Armbar, pulling back on the arm and forcing Gulak to verbally submitted after a mat wrestling war.
"Reborn" Matt Sydal vs. Trent Barreta
Big time change of pace here, as we had two guys looking to just let it rip in this match. Barreta and Sydal would pull the fans in and showed each other a lot of respect, but it was clear neither man wanted to give up the "L" here. This match went to the outside a couple of times, with both men taking high risks, before Sydal would catch Barreta from the apron with a knee as he was doubled over between the ropes, sending him crashing backwards onto the mat. From here, Sydal managed to head up top and come off with a Shooting Star Press to get the pinfall victory!
"The Celtic Colossus" Drew Galloway vs. "Golden Star" Kota Ibushi
Kota Ibushi was severely outsided here by the big Scotsman, but his striking prowess and uncanny speed kept him in this fight. Galloway looked like a monster throughout, however, as he was able to eat many of Ibushi's big shots and dealt him a lot of damage. On the outside, Galloway would pick up Ibushi and ram him back first into the turnpost, before grabbing him by the head and delivering a Toss Suplex that sent Ibushi back first into the guardrail! Back inside the ring, Galloway would hit a Tilt-to-Whirl Backbreaker, attempting a cover but just a two count, as Ibushi shows his heart. Galloway would pick up Ibushi and looked to be going for the Future Shock, but Ibushi escaped a hit a Corksrew Enzuigiri to take Galloway down to a knee and buy him some time. Ibushi would unload a flurry of offensive strikes before delivering a Lariat that staggered Galloway back into the ropes, followed by a POWERFUL Release German Suplex to put Galloway on the mat! Ibushi wasn't done, though, heading up top and flipping off with a Moonsault! Galloway would roll, however, but Ibushi landed on his feet and caught him with a Standing Moonsault, trying to hold him down, but only a two count! Ibushi rushes up and catches Galloway on the chin with a Soccer Kick to put him back down, before heading up top again. Ibushi is movely a little slow, though, after the onslaught he withstood, and as he comes off the top with the Phoenix Splash, Galloway gets his knees up, and Ibushi is hurt in a bad way there, the wind being knocked out of him completely! Galloway grabs Ibushi and plants him with the Future Shock DDT, and it's all over. Galloway gets the win here and looks very strong doing it.
