HYBRID PRO-WRESTLING
"Raising the Stakes"
The show starts with Drew Gulak making his way out to the ring and declaring that tonight is the night that he changes HPW forever! He says tonight he will win the No Limit title from the dismal Trevor Lee and bring real wrestling to the forefront of this wretched promotion! Tyson Kidd makes his way out and says that's a cute idea, but he's gotta go through him, and that's not happening! Out comes Lee with the belt and says he beat tougher men to win that title, and he's going to annihilate these two tonight!
Delirious vs. Nate Fatal
Fatal seemed very confident here in his debut, but Delirious is a very wild and talented wrestler who gets a lot of fan support. Fatal won over the fans with his high energy and charisma, however, working them over as he hit some big dives and high impact moves. Delirious would end up blocking a corner shot from Fatal and coming off the top with his Shadows Over Hell to get the pinfall.
Jason Black makes his way out now and runs down Dystopia and all of their actions. He says tonight, there will be a first ever tag team match between Cody Rhodes and Bryan Danielson taking on CM Punk and Tommy End. He says this match will have a major impact on who will be the first challenger to Cody Rhodes' Grand championship. Out then comes CM Punk, Tommy End, and Chris Hero, wearing their signature hoodies and bandanas over their faces. Punk says whatever plans Jason Black has, he can forget them. Tonight, Dystopia shows that the heroes of men are not stronger than the nature of destruction, and they will bring this promotion to its knees and the men they wish could save it.
Kevin Ultra vs. David Starr
David Starr has a great entrance and has won over some of the fans in his last few appearances, but hasn't had much success. Tonight, though, he faced a guy that can go and go with the best of them in Kevin Ultra, who really kept the pace up and never really let up. Starr nearly got the win with a Rolling Elbow, but couldn't quite get it done. Starr would go up top, but Ultra would burst and catch him with a Huracanrana off the top turnbuckle, following up with a single underhook lifting DDT he calls the Zenpakuto to crush him and hold him down for the three! Big win for Ultra here, but another disappointing loss for Starr.
LuFisto vs. Amber O'Neal
Amber O'Neal proved to be a very good heel, using a lot of gloating, trash talking and underhanded tactics throughout. This couldn't save her late, as LuFisto opened up on her with brutal strikes and suplexes, eventually locking her into a Rear Naked Choke to get the tap out win.
Roderick Strong vs. ACH
ACH is a lot of fun to watch, but Strong was very determined and very dangerous, and that made for a great back and forth match. Strong had the superior killer instinct tonight, catching ACH flying off the ropes and catching him with a backbreaker variation, followed by a Sick Kick to flip ACH backwards onto his face, and that was enough to keep him down for the three count.
Kairi Hojo vs. Mickie Knuckles
The Japanese pirate queen Kairi Hojo was making her debut to big fan fare tonight, but it was against the big and brutal Mickie Knuckles. Knuckles would lay a beating on Hojo, but Hojo would show resilience and poise, fighting back and nearly knocking Knuckles out with some of her big elbow strikes. Hojo would come off the top with an Insane Elbowdrop to get a huge pop from the crowd and put Knuckles down for the three. Hojo looks to be a serious threat to the Women's title in the future.
Munenori Sawa vs. Hideo Itami
Sawa was making his debut here, and his BattleARTS style really got over with the crowd here in Philly. Itami and Sawa were perfectly matched, as these two beat the crap out of each other and really stole the show for many. These two would trade holds early and strike from the ground back and forth, before things would escalate and the knock out shots started coming out. Eventually Itami would land the Buisaiku Knee Kick, followed by the Go 2 Sleep to get the victory.
CM Punk & Tommy End w/ Chris Hero vs. Cody Rhodes & Bryan Danielson
Punk and End would play mind games early, laughing and mocking their opponents. Rhodes and Danielson would pull the fans in and call their opponents cowards, before things would heat up and the exchanges would begin. Tommy End and Danielson had some very hard hitting back and forth exchanges before Danielson would get the better of it, hitting the Dragon Suplex into the Cattle Mutilation, which lead Punk to get in and chaos ensued. Chris Hero got involved on the apron, leading SAMI ZAYN to come out and pull him down, eventually hitting the Diving Swinging DDT through the ropes to get a huge reaction! Punk would use the distraction, though, rolling up Danielson and holding the tights to get the three count over him! Rhodes would grab a chair and run End and Punk off as Danielson pounded a fist on the mat, upset that he let Punk get the better of him.
NO LIMIT TITLE
Trevor Lee (c) vs. Drew Gulak vs. Tyson Kidd
The No Limit title has no disqualifications, and these guys used that aspect to the fullest. A lot of this match took place on the outside of the ring and even in the crowd, as the wild Trevor Lee would hit flips and use chairs and other objects to inflict damage on his challengers. Gulak tried to keep things in the ring and looked great in this match, as the story ended up taking him to the outside, where he suplexed Lee into the crowd. Kidd would get some near falls in the end, but ended up catching the Orange Crush onto a chair from Lee to hold him down for the three count!
Gulak would attack Lee after the match, smashing his own title belt into his face before locking on his Dragon Sleeper variation, getting boos from the crowd as the staff had to pull him off of the champion and the show came to an end.-
