Editors Note:This is a hodge-podge elixir of my vast DVD collection, WWE Network reruns, WWE2k14, Pro Wrestling Illustrated's entire back-catalog of magazines, 28 grams (of Aurora Kush) & stream of consciousness rambling. It contains links of previous events to show the full scope of our Mash-Up Wrestling history. Parental Discretion is advised!... and what happens in Vegas *STAYS* in Vegas! (unless it's an STD) (Another) Scene of the Crime!! Back in the day we used to hollow out Black & Milds and fill them up with premium petrol. Now I stand here with a loaded classic RAW Cone, exhaling clouds of smoke while bumping Wiz Kalifa 28 Grams (“lil we bitch we mobbin!!”) As the world turns the ash continues to burn, so we come full-circle once again. Back to where the seeds of XPW remixed were planted. Back through the West Coast Meat Grinder. BACK - to the SCENE of the CRIME!!Ringside Commentators: Gordon Solie & Matt Striker!!TONIGHT!
We’re LIVE in Sin City Las Vegas where crimes can still go unsolved on the worlds largest boulevards! Tonight! BCCW takes over the Las Vegas nightlife with a fantasy-wrestling card of epic violence! The one night of the year where hardcore is unleashed, the spirit of Ultraviolence is channeled and every match hosts an Xtreme stipulation! The Las Vegas location is not just symbolic, nor is War Games a hurried decision. Instead, it is a calculated gamble based on historic precedents. BCCW presents “(Another) Scene of the Crime”! This is a battle for the very soul of Mash-Up Wrestling!!** XPW Remixed presents "Scene of the Crime (Mash-Up Wrestling ondemand) CLICK HERE **** BCCW presents "Return 2 The Scene of the Crime" (Mash-Up Wrestling ondemand) CLICK HERE ** ** CUT TO RING ** _____________________________________________________________MASATO TANAKA (1999) versus UMAGA (2007) versus... BULLY RAY (2013)** FMW Xtreme Rulez Bout ** versus ... versus * Opening pyro & video montage - chronicles the graphic & gory rise of Hardcore wrestling and climaxes with the War Games main event to control the fate of BCCW tonight.
* UMAGA destroys the intro by rampaging through the set, tearing down the video wall and tossing chairs & security guards around like popcorn kernals!
* Finally, Masato Tanaka’s music hits and the match officially begins when Tanaka charges the ring in a Kamikaze fury!
* The two warriors battle around ringside, into the stands and up the aisle - going through every table, chair & guard rail along the way! “BCCW!” and “HOLY SHIT!” chants abound!
* By the time the two beasts are slugging it out on the entrance ramp, they are both blindsided from the rear by BULLY RAY! Charging into the fray with a metal shovel! BLANG! BLANG! BLAAAANG! Tanaka & Umaga go down, and Bully Ray officially inserts himself into the fight! No rules, No DQs, FMW Slaughterhouse-style!!Bully Ray (2013) is cutting in!!* Bully Ray gives the rest of the fight an old-school American brawling vibe, while harkening back to original ECW and FMW joint-productions (shout out to my FMW “International Slaughterhouse” DVD)
* In a raging finish, Masato Tanaka jumps right out of his FMW “Best of” DVD (titled “The Enforcer: Best of Tanaka”) to pin Bully Ray with a top rope Diamond Dust through a table in the center of the ring! The BCCW/FMW working relationship bears fruit in Las Vegas tonight!Winner: MASATO TANAKA** CUT BACKSTAGE ** BCCW President Paul Bowser explains why he chose War Games as the stipulation (it's a May tradition in this realm) and why he chose this time to lay it all on the line against the Illuminati (because they are fracturing). President Bowser does *NOT* reveal why Matt Morgan was removed from the team (I can't figure out why he never made it bigger in WWE either), but teases that his replacement is guaranteed to blow the roof off the building & seal the Illuminati's doom forever!Who will be the 5th member of BCCW's Union?? Stay tuned to find out!!** CUT TO RING ** _____________________________________________________________** BCCW 6-Man Tag Team titles **TAMINA & HEADHUNTERZ versus LOVE BROTHERS © (Mixed Tag Team match) vs * Mostly pomp & circumstance, especially with the long picket-sign entrance and opening shtick of the Love Brothers (with their pot-dealing accomplice Weedman).
* Old fashioned 1968-stylings about peace, pot & keeping women in the kitchen barefoot and pregnant. Does not endear them well to contemporary audiences, which is half the heelish charm. These guys are stonerifically oblivious to how hypocritical they really are.
* Tamina & her Headhunterz are greeted with voracious cheers by a bloodthirsty crowd bred on their type of savagery & mayhem (commentators remind you the Headhunterz are former tag champions across multiple fantasy-wrestling spheres, though they have never had a “major league” run).
* Mostly hardcore hits with comedic spots mixed in. Headhunterz are immune to picket signs shattering over their heads, and the battle goes downhill for the Love Brothers from there. Love Brothers earn props by absorbing the brunt of a ferocious beating.
* In the end a near-dead Weedman manages to steal a crooked pin on Tamina that while helping the Love Brothers retain their titles, does nothing to diminish the effort of Tamina & crew. Winners (and STILL 6-Man Tag Team champions): LOVE BROTHERS* Love Brothers barely have a moment to soak in their surprise underdog victory, before the Headhunterz squash Weedman for good and Tamina *finally* hits him with her top rope Superfly Splash (*through* a table) to send the fans to the concession stands happy!** CUT BACKSTAGE ** _____________________________________________________________** BCCW Flyweight Championship **JUSHIN LIGER © vs HOMICIDE vs SABU (Tables Ladders Chairs match) versus versus * Take the 3-disc WWE Greatest Highflyers DVD set and mix it with a little Super J Cup action from Japan. Sprinkle in ROH “Bloodstained Honor” and ECW reruns from WWE Network and you’ve got this star-studded, International smash.
* Each man is especially proficient in his weapon of choice, but has mastered the use of all of them. Liger soars from the top of 15-foot ladders, Sabu smashes through dozens of tables (sometimes putting his opponent through them as well), and Homicide goes on a murder-spree with sick chair shots.
* Homicide’s violent la familia L.A.X. try to get involved (Hernandez, Chavo & Shelly Martinez) but only wind up serving as fodder for a breathtaking Jushin Liger moonsault *off the entrance ramp* onto the sea of people below! “LIGER! LIGER!” Shelly Martinez also takes her requisite PPV stripping before L.A.X. is ejected from the segment completely.
* Demolition derby of spots and props until Sabu puts Homicide through a table (wrapped in barbed wire), and Liger flips Sabu off the top of a ladder through another table at ringside. That leaves Liger alone to once again dramatically unhook *his* championship belt from the rafters above the ring! Liger retains!Winner (and STILL BCCW Flyweight champion): JUSHIN "Thunder" LIGER (1995)!!** CUT BACKSTAGE ** ** Backstage Interlude ** Cameras catch the Untouchables (Muldoon / Sheamus / Casey) praying together backstage. The stakes have never been higher this evening, and it may very well be the Untouchables last stand. Each man is facing a career-defining battle tonight... alone. It is a touching and solemn scene that shows the unwavering resolve of real Americans who enter a war they know they may not survive!
Casey vs Lesnar Muldoon vs Wyatt Sheamus in War Games!
TONIGHT!
Stay tuned!!** CUT TO RING ** _____________________________________________________________** Best of 7 Series ** [match #3]ALBERTO DEL RIO (2012) vs EDDIE GUERRERO (2002) (Submission Only) versus ** Match #1 (Night of Champions IV) ** click here **** Match #2 (BCCW TV Episode #43: Tree of Life) ** click here *** MMA intros, walkouts and big time fight feel.
* ADR is credited as a former Television champion and for once *beating* Lou Thesz for the World title in XPW Remixed.
* Guerrero is still new to BCCW but already rabidly popular with the fans.
* Underdog from the gutter (Guerrero) vs pampered & entitled Aristocrat (ADR).
* The sweet science of technical wrestling is muddied with fiery Latino outbursts. These two cannot stand each other.
* Eddie (timeline-wise) is just working his way back into the big leagues after his exile, and proving he can still hang in the majors. ADR on the other hand is struggling to prove he can still remain at the top of the card, with the taste of championship success still fresh but fading quickly.
* Consider this match a success for both of them, even though it is ADR's hand that winds up being raised (via armbreaker submission). Think "Eddie vs Kurt Angle" from Summerslam 2004.
* Eddie garners more sympathy, ADR confirms his swagger and the fans get a potential "Match of the Night". Is Del Rio on his way to a shut-out in this Best of 7 series? Or does Eddie Guerrero have what it takes to battle back against adversity again? The Series - like this show- will continue! Part 2 coming up next!! Winner: ALBERTO DEL RIO (leads series 2-0-1)** CUT TO COMMERCIAL ** Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling Presents JOURNEY TO GREATNESS Saturday, May 31, 2014 Live on Pay-Per-ViewDon’t Forget to Bring Courage on Your Journey to Greatness!AGPW Journey to Greatness is now available! ** Mash-Up Wrestling Streaming LIVE!! ** (click here)** Meanwhile!! **

The Love Brother have grown on me, not unlike a mold or a fungus would do. Doesn't do anything to detract from the fact the 6man division is at an all time low tho. The more they keep escaping with the title by the skin of their teeth the more they are looking like fluke champions. But if that's the vibe you're going for, the Love Brothers fit the script perfectly. I like Tanaka and Ligers victories and I'm intrigued you went with 2 Del Rio wins in a row, though with the write up I couldn't help but pull for Eddie in the end. I'm sure this Best of 7 series is far from over, just like the rest of the show. Now get to it, the fate of BCCW rests on your timely delivery! 5 points out of 5 points for me so far. Let's roll the dice and make it 10.

_____________________________________________________________BROCK LESNAR (w/ "Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers) versus STEVE "Crusher" CASEY (Ambulance Match) w/ versus * Stunning video package to summarize the ensuing match. Crusher Casey is the grizzled WWII Battleship blindsided by a historic F5. Now, “Ireland’s Greatest Athlete” must weather the storm against the “Beast Incarnate” for a chance at redemption! Or somebody will die trying.
* Steve “Crusher” Casey is a BCCW-original, former “Fallout Festival” Battle Royal winner, 6-Man Tag Team champion (w/ the Untouchables) and former Heavyweight #1 Contender. Crusher Casey won the All-England Rowing Championship and 6 AWA World Wrestling titles. His is highly-accredited, a grizzled veteran, and with his US Army Artillery Ranks background (a military stint that actually interrupted his 5th AWA world title reign) - Steve "Crusher" Casey is a certified fantasy wrestling deity. The kind of long-forgotten talent that only Mash-Up Wrestling can highlight (or smash to smithereens... please observe).
* Brock Lesnar has arrived in BCCW like Godzilla, leaving a path of destruction in his wake. Lesnar beat Undertaker at WM30, set more fantasy wrestling records, and with his super-agent “Nature Boy” Buddy Rogers singing his praises, is a constant brooding presence over Mash-Up Wrestling (even if his actual appearances are as rare as Bigfoot sightings). Tonight is Brock Lesnar’s BCCW debut match!!* “Judgement Day 2003” meets “Extreme Rules 2012” (with a little “Godzilla vs. Mothra“ thrown in).
* Brock viciously zeroes in on Casey’s damaged rib area. The Crusher withstands an unholy beating, garnering untold sympathy in the process. Brock is a BEAST. Within 5 minutes Casey looks like he’s been in a UFC Heavyweight bout.
* “O.G. Nature Boy” Buddy Rogers stalks ringside like the Wolf of Wall street - a less verbally dexterous (but infinitely more stylish) version of Paul Heyman (2014). His crusade to “sink the Untouchables” is highlighted, culminating with this thrashing tonight.
* Brock withstands a set of steel rings steps pitched over the top rope by Crusher Casey into his FACE (ala Bray Wyatt/John Cena at “Payback 2014”). “HOLY SHIT!”
* In the end, Crusher looks defeated as he’s dragged to the ambulance - but snaps back into blood-stained action to the cheers of the fans. The two behemoths destroy the exterior of the ambulance in their battle! Crusher Casey uses a *tire iron* as the great equalizer!
* A bloody, desperate Crusher Casey lures a discombobulated Lesnar into a charge (think “Chief Brody at the end of Jaws 2”) - before sidestepping him and BASHING him in the back of the head with the tire iron! With the momentum of the charge, Brock Lesnar crashes right INTO the back of the ambulance! As the crowd roars, Crusher Casey *SLAMS* the ambulance door! He drops to his knees in exhaustion and relief!Winner (?!?!?): CRUSHER CASEY!!!the betting lines in Vegas just blew the fuck up!Post match, Casey is near-death (think Cena at the end of his Extreme Rules 2012 beating at the hands of Lesnar). But “O.G. Nature Boy” Buddy Rogers is irate, and antagonizes the Irish Legend further. So in a fit of Irish temper, Casey grabs Buddy by his expensive lapels and prepares to lay the smack down! Crowd roars their approval! But suddenly - Lesnar *busts* through the ambulance door like a Kodiak Bear and runs down Casey from behind! Fighting out of hazy, concussive instinct (and raging bloodlust) - Brock Lesnar *finishes* the job by F5ing Crusher Casey on the steel entrance ramp!! Brock Lesnar may have “lost” the match, but he’s walking out of the arena with his agent Buddy Rogers - while Crusher Casey is taking a *real* ambulance ride to the hospital! Paramedics are strapping him to the gurney now! Oh my, what a violent encounter to punctuate “Scene of the Crime” in Las Vegas!! ** CUT ** ** Backstage Interlude **
After video recap, backstage cameras catch "Solid Man" William Muldoon accompanying the stretcher of Crusher Casey to the ambulance, where it speeds away to a local Las Vegas medical center. Muldoon then cuts a brief, but solemnly intense promo (straight out of a Spartacus monologue) that likens his next battle against Bray Wyatt as something of biblical & gladiatorial importance. "First Blood Match" coming up next!!
** CUT ** _____________________________________________________________BRAY WYATT w/ the Family (2015) vs WILLIAM MULDOON (1890) (First Blood Match) versus Behold the dark future of fantasy wrestling. Cape Fear meets Waylon Mercy mixed with a little Deliverance. This is Bray Wyatt and he is the devourer of galaxies. He has cast a dark, intoxicating spell over fantasy wrestling and swollen the ranks of his brainwashed masses (adding Umaga to his flock). Bray Wyatt has preached his gospel and targeted William Muldoon as the literal manifestation of everything Wyatt rails against (think "Wyatt vs Cena WWE early 2014"). Bray Wyatt brings his own brand of twisted "authority". The promos leading up this match were stark & creepy, with Bray promising to "drink the blood from great-grandfathers urn". With BCCW unofficially leading the Illuminati tonight in moral victories (3 to 2), can Bray Wyatt even the odds and swallow the light? Or will the "Solid Man" William Muldoon take out the (not-so) Slender Man for good!!?? Full Circle: ** XPW Remixed presents "Cold Day In Hell" (forefather to "Scene of the Crime") Mash-Up Wrestling ondemand (click here) **William Muldoon debuted in Mash-Up Wrestling at this very event, and in the course of his career rose to become BCCW Commissioner under the Paul Bowser regime. Unfortunately, Muldoon was politically assassinated by the turncoat VP Sheldon Goldberg and forced out of the company he helped build. ** WWE vs BCCW (Battleground: Civil War) Instant Access!! (click here) **But Muldoon quickly rebounded by joining Shane McMahon in his battle to free the WWE from the tyrannical grip of VKM Jr (aka "the Illuminati"). Thus the events that preceded "WWE vs BCCW: Battleground Civil War" were launched. Forced out of BCCW in a management position, Muldoon nonetheless returned under a "talent contract" alongside his Untouchables brethren Crusher Casey & Sheamus (the last lawmen of the Wild Wild West). Muldoon is the Elliot Ness of fantasy wrestling and is in the twilight of an amazing in-ring career (though his outside endeavors keep him very busy). This is also the last match of his current BCCW "talent contract". If the Illuminati win War Games tonight and assume control of the company, there is a no guarantee his contract will be renewed - and win lose or draw, William Muldoon will be gone from BCCW. This time for good. Will "The Solid Man" go out on his shield? Or with one last victory over a dark future?? The "First Blood Match" starts now!! * Think "JBL vs Cena (One Night Stand 2008)" mixed with a little "Kevin Nash vs Billy Gunn (TNA Destination X 2005)".
* The Family (Harper & Rowan) are a constant intimidating nuisance, though they take no physical action against Muldoon. Yet.
* "The Solid Man" stretches and contorts the bigger Bray Wyatt, but is startled by Bray's sometime-reaction to the pain (bursting out in demented laughter). William Muldoon once trained the great John L. Sullivan for a 75-round World championship boxing match - and uses those pugilistic skills against Bray Wyatt tonight (trying to bust him open hardway from the face).
* In the wild, desperate fracas we get a ref bump. Bray Wyatt sets up a Sister Abigail (on a steel chair), but Muldoon reverses into an Anaconda Vice in the center of the ring! While still trapped in the hold, Muldoon unleashes some unrestrained shoot punches that smash Bray Wyatt in the face! Bray is bleeding profusely from the mouth... and smiling!
* The Family jumps back on the ring apron, forcing Muldoon to confront them. They wind up distracting Muldoon enough and helping Bray wipe away the blood, that by the time the original ref comes to - Bray Wyatt is bone dry and has SPLIT Muldoon open with a climatic Sister Abigail on the steel chair! The ref sees Muldoon bleeding unconscious on the mat and call for the bell! Bray Wyatt has come prepared, and based on what he ends the match wearing (see below) he has became a Dexter-like BUTCHER of fantasy-wrestling! The blood of its ancestors bathes Bray Wyatt like a baptism! He has been REBORN!!
... and fantasy wrestling will never be the same again."The Buzzards have Landed". Winner: BRAY WYATT** CUT ** ** Backstage Interlude **
Backstage correspondent MSD tries catching up with the Illuminati to get some quotes before their big match, but finds their private locker room barred & locked tight. From behind closed doors, the sounds of voracious arguing can be heard! Can the All-Time Greatest Heel faction in wrestling history actually live up to its billing?? Or will toxic egos blow the whole thing up like the Hindenburg?? Judging by the sounds of dissent & discord coming from their lockeroom, President Paul Bowser must feel the latter like a TLC match! War Games for control of BCCW! Coming up soon! ** CUT ** _____________________________________________________________** BCCW Middleweight Championship **RICKY "the Dragon" STEAMBOAT © versus GUS SONNENBERG (Best 2 out of 3 Falls) versus Silly question, But if we have unlimited access to WWE Network + WWE2k14 and 6+ hours of wrestling on TV every week, why do we even *need* Mash-Up Wrestling? Because for all its seemingly infinite capabilities, video libraries & DVD releases - the WWE Monarchy is but a fraction of a true wrestling history. Gone are the stone age grapplers or TV pioneers. Gone are the Japanese Death Match circuits and Shimmer volumes. Gone are the categorically defiant leagues that continue to do independent business despite stifling WWE conditions... TNA, RoH, PWG, NECW etc... But here in the Mash-Up Universe, not only do they live - they thrive. Where real fantasy-wrestling reigns. Case in point - Steamboat vs GSon for the Middleweight title, 2 out of 3 falls. Observe: * Match is a counter-point to the last 2 violence-soaked affairs. Proving that no matter how bloodthirsty or violent the fans may be, they appreciate true wrestling just as much.
* This is a mix of NWA 1989 with new millennium Ring of Honor. MMA walkouts, intros and tale of the tape. Streamers criss-cross the ring before the start of the match. Dueling chants abound as each man shares a sizable crowd advantage.
* That crowd dichotomy is want I want to highlight with this write-up, as it seems Ricky Steamboat - the perennial babyface in white for his entire career - may actually be growing *stale* to his contingency. The split cheers, which are to be expected here against two major babyfaces, however signal the beginning of Steamboats slow slide from the fans graces. I don't want to say Steamboat ever reached Cena-levels of loathing for being such a wholesome character, but he also didn't stick around long enough for that to really happen. Steamboat bringing his family into the ring with him may have helped cement the rebellious fans decision to sneer where they once cheered.
* Gus Sonnenberg is a mans man and former pro-footballer who made it big in wrestling using his flying tackle (we call the "Providence Steamroller"). He is a homebrewed BCCW favorite who grew to be a featured Flyweight champion. He earned the ire and derision of many haters & critics however, culminating in a brutal shoot attack on the streets of L.A. during *LAST YEARS* "Scene of the Crime" PPV that hurt GSon more in the arena of public opinion than anywhere else. Regardless, GSon continues to persevere and has worked himself up to #1 Contender in the Middleweight division.1st Fall: GSon via submission (he caught Steamboat diving out of the sky with a cross body attempt, and answered with his rolling Boston Crab signature).2nd Fall: Steamboat via pinfall (small package counter)* In a fantastic flurry of finishers, counters and reversals - Steamboat rolls through a GSon victory-roll attempt, until both men wind up with their shoulders down... the ref counts 1!.. 2!.. Steamboat cracks a shoulder up! 3! The bell tolls signaling a finish! There is a moment of confusion for some fans, and certainly for GSon himself, before the ref gives Steamboat the title and raises his arm! The champ retains!Winner (and STILL Middleweight champion): RICKY "the Dragon" STEAMBOAT!!* Post match, both men shake hands and embrace in a sign of mutual respect. They are both greeted by standing ovations from the appreciative audience, and GSon leaves the ring to let Steamboat bathe in his victory. In his breathless victory promo, Steamboat shouts out GSon's courageousness & honor, reiterates his mission to be a fighting champion in the Middleweight division, and shows love for the Las Vegas fighting spirit! ** CUT ** ** Backstage Interlude **
Final Words from Team Captain John Cena with his troops (Sheamus / Andre the Giant / RVD). They have tough, climatic words for the Illuminati tonight, but stop short of revealing who their mystery 5th partner will be. But Cena DOES indicate it is a game-changing addition that will stem the tide of this never-ending battle for good! The legendary figure who will be their 5th partner has just as big a personal stake in this war as they do... fans, stay tuned! War Games is NEXT!! ** Cut to epic-level cinematic video (almost like a mini-movie) that takes us from the ashes of XPW Remixed to the founding of BCCW - to the launch of Event Horizon - War with WWE - and finally, this... The WAR GAMES to end all others. The Union vs The Illuminati for control of BCCW! Coming up now!! Stay tuned! The 3rd and Final Chapter is next!!_____________________________________________________________

** Main Event **WAR GAMES ** For control of BCCW! Loser Leaves Town Match!! **THE UNION versus THE ILLUMINATI versus Battles raged... WWE vs BCCW: Battleground (Civil War) ** Mash-Up Wrestling Instant Access (click here) **Kingdoms razed... BCCW TV Episode #28 (Halloween in Hell 3) ** Mash-Up Wrestling Instant Access (click here) **Now WAR GAMES awaits... Steel cage matches have always been a brutal, bloody part of pro wrestling history. WAR GAMES takes that concept to the gladiatorial extreme. One of the most critically-acclaimed of all WWE DVD releases was "War Games: WCW's Most Notorious Matches", a collection of those encounters. It is remembered in crimson shades of rosy red by those who witnessed them, and remain a staple in fantasy warfare. But this is Mash-Up Wrestling, so it would be too easy to give WWE/WCW War Games that much credit. Instead, we pull from *all* influences.
TNA Lockdown, XPW Genocide (worst "War Games" match ever... "WCW War Games 2000" was better), RoH vs CZW, Cage of Death... even our own beloved BCCW history. War Games has been the be-all/end-all of feud-ending problem solving. Tonight, it solves the greatest problem of all - the ownership struggle between President Paul Bowser and members of the Northeast Illuminati branch. WAR GAMES for control of Broken City Championship Wrestling! It's going down!! Despite all these wrestling DVD and movie references, the one thing I want to rely on most of all in this chapter is a basketball book. That is, *THE* basketball book. "The Book of Basketball" by Bill Simmons. Why a basketball book? Because in it, he discusses "the secret" to a successful *team* - which in itself, is really no *secret* at all when you understand it. Point being? The bad guys here representing the Illuminati don't get "the secret". On paper, Commissioner HHH has constructed the *GREATEST HEEL TEAM of ALL TIME* (discuss among yourselves). Himself, the master, overlord & Authority of fantasy wrestling. Hollywood Hulk Hogan fresh off his remarkable run on top as WORLD champion. Ric Flair & Arn Anderson representing premium 4Horsemen excellence. Jeff Jarrett, founder of TNA & Global Force. But with all this firepower, what's the one thing missing on Team Illuminati? Chemistry. The bad guys got it all mixed up. The constant bickering, in-fighting, one-upsmanship and raging EGO has combined to produce a negative effect. As opposed to the "Union", who finds their mojo soaring and exceeding expectations where mere talent may not have been enough. Cena leads by example, Commissioner HHH leads by design. Tonight those blueprints clash and the results are epic level. When Rob Van Dam (2006) and Jeff Jarrett (2006) start out for their respective teams it is reflected upon by commentators the result of steady fan voting for RVD (a prelude to the "YES! Movement" if there ever were one) - and the immediate impact Jeff Jarrett has had in BCCW, despite not being fully trusted by the WWE Regime. Commissioner HHH is next for Team Illuminati (who won a rigged coin toss) to double-team RVD and draw the ire of the fans. But already HHH & JJ are showing signs of discord (each one refusing to kowtow to the other). John Cena (2014) is out to even the odds for his team, under the auspices of "captain goes down with the ship". In fact he would have started this match, if not for RVD's fervent insistence. Commentators also rehash a running theme of this evening, which is "who will be the 5th member of the Union???" Still no developments on that, though word has been received the mystery man IS in the building. With Cena & RVD gaining momentum, we get the spoiler Arn Anderson to break things up. Battle swings back in favor of the Illuminati 3-on-2. Arn tries to play middleman, but HHH & JJ are really exchanging words here - each blaming the other for RVD & Cena's surge. Backstage, cameras catch members of President Paul Bowsers administration watching on anxiously in one room - while Illuminati VP Sheldon Goldberg and other evil ilk are seen doing the same in another. The world has seemingly stood still to witness this clash of armies. Finally the "Pale Swordsman" Sheamus (2012) cuts in for the Union and all hell breaks loose. Already on a warpath due to the events of the Casey/Lesnar & Muldoon/Wyatt matches from earlier, Sheamus busts heads with steel cage shots and turns the bad guys black & blue with clubbing forearms! Sheamus in a rage! Business is really starting to pick up when the clock ticks down and da MAN RIC FLAIR makes his diamond-studded entrance! About 10,000 "WHOOOOOOO"s go off in the arena. Flair makes sure everybody on his team realizes he is there to save the day, and goes to work on Cena & Sheamus in particular. Flair is a former WWE Mash-Up Wrestling champion, BCCW Heavyweight champion and the man responsible for ending John Cena's title reign! (before Cena reclaimed his gold @ "Night of Champions 4"). Illuminati are stomping the union 4-3, but with JJ arguing with HHH arguing with Flair it is only a matter of time before combustible materials explode. Ultimately - batting clean up for the Union - ANDRE the GIANT makes his titanic entrance! The roof nearly blows off the building (from the fans) AND the cage (from Andre bench-pressing Jarrett into it)! The big man gets his few moments of shine to mow down the Illuminati one-after-the-other, like a line of dominoes. With the final buzzer sounding, Hollywood Hogan marks the final entrant for Team Illuminati. With his leadership (and brass knuckles/handcuffs combination) the Illuminati manage to gang-tackle Andre and hog-tie him to the ropes - helpless to aid his team, and bleeding profusely from the head. It's basically 5-on-3 for the Illuminati as the clock climatically counts down... 5... 4... 3... 2... 1! First silence, and anticipation... Then - a wildly familiar theme song... Enter former BCCW Legendary Superstar, Hall-of-famer and *CURRENT WWE Mash-Up Wrestling CHAMPION* BRUNO SAMMARTINOAwwwwww yea. The big bad Bruno-daddy himself. His history with XPW Remixed/BCCW is intertwined beyond belief - and after serving penance in fantasy-wrestling Ravenloft (XPW Remixed) he was released back onto the prime material plane where he was christened "WWE Hall of Famer". After his triumphant return to WWE, Sammartino went on to WIN the title once more in a tournament to crown a new champion. Sammartino was on the losing side of one of these wars before (see "WWE vs BCCW: Battleground Civil War) - but now he comes full-circle for revenge. The President Paul Bowser Administration surprise addition: BRUNO FN SAMMARTINO!! With everybody from both sides officially in the rings, let the "MATCH BEYOND" begin!! Good teammates share the ball, deflect the glory and absorb the punishment. Tonight Team Illuminati is the *opposite* of that. Even with all their firepower they can't get on the same page. To continue the basketball metaphor, Bruno Sammartino is Willis Reed coming out for the Knicks in Game 7 of the 1970 NBA Finals. Bruno hits the first few shots of the match, but it's up to his teammates to carry the ball home. And what teammates they are - RVD soaring, Sheamus clubbering, Andre stomping (now freed after *snapping* the handcuffs in rage) and John Cena leading the charge! We're talking San Antonio Spurs 2014 in Game 3 & 4 *massacres* of the Miami Heat! Bad guys finally implode! Flair attacks Hogan from behind! Hulk no-sells it and fires back at Flair! HHH tries to intercede! A succession of rapid-fire finishing moves from all the good guys culminates in a HUGE FUAA from John Cena to Ric Flair *onto* Arn Anderson on the mat! 1!.. 2!.. Bruno frickin' Sammartino. Never sat that one coming. An epic WarGames encounter. And there are definitely some aftershocks coming, you can tell. Great show, top to bottom.

I decided to wait until the entire event was over before letting you know what I thought of it. I sometimes wondered whether posting my show in two parts seemed a bit gratuitous if only in terms of creating suspense, but then you went and one upped me with three parts. I was definitely bummed that the main event wasn't included in part two and couldn't wait to see the results. So you if you were trying to create that feeling amongst some of your readers, you worked on me.
Right off the bat, we get the first surprise of the night by seeing Bully Ray interject himself into the hot show opener. It was an interesting decision that added an extra dynamic to what we already knew would turn into a blood bath. I liked the decision to throw him in there and I liked that he didn't win the match even more. It was a great decision to have Tanaka go over. I most certainly wouldn't be opposed to seeing him slowly march up the card and one day challenge John Cena. That'd be a fantasy dream match that most people probably haven't thought about, but upon thinking it over, would say, "yeah, I want to see that."
The Love Brothers tag team is winning me over. I like that they are hypocritical hippies. It's a great gimmick and help add a bit of cerebral comedy into the show. I wonder if their act can remain fresh enough to go all Honky Tonk Man on the 6-man tag team division? I guess that would depend on a large number of other circumstances, too, but it is an interesting thought. I don't mind them continuing their reign.
It's hard to decide whether Liger vs. Homicide vs. Sabu or Del Rio vs. Guerrero is the highlight of the first third of the night's program. On paper I'm down for Del Rio vs. Guerrero. And with the submission match stipulation, I know Eddie can work it well, but he seems to be at a distinct disadvantage as he doesn't have an establish submission hold as a finisher nor a reputation as a submissions specialist. It's easy to call Del Rio the winner. I've never been a big fan of guys like Homicide and Sabu, but every now and then, when booked right, I find that I can get behind one of their matches. On the other hand, I'm a huge fan of Liger. The guy is incredible. Put them all together in a TLC match and you've put the ingredients together to earn my support for a match featuring Homicide and Sabu. I really enjoyed that one, but part of me is just greatful that Liger retained the title.
The second surprise of the night sees Crusher Casey go over Brock Lesnar. It's not that Casey isn't capable of defeating Lesnar. He's a stud. But I don't think anyone expected it. Still, Casey gets the win but then gets brutalized by the Beast Incarnate and leaves in an ambulance. One has to wonder if this was Crusher Casey's last hurrah in BCCW? My interest is piqued.
Next, Bray Wyatt downs William Muldoon in a first blood match. The write up for the match doesn't give one the impression that Muldoon's career is in jeopardy in the same way that Casey's is. However, the image of Bray Wyatt dressed like a cross between a butcher and the phantom of the opera, certainly gives one the notion that maybe Muldoon could have had the life bled out of him. In any case, seeing Casey and Muldoon both laid to waste with War Games still to come doesn't bode well for the Irish, the Boston Strong or BCCW.
Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat retains his title in a fantastic 2 out of 3 falls match. It saddens me to see that the fans are starting to sour on Steamboat. I fail to understand why so many wrestling fans become bored with and/or turn on their favourite wrestlers so easily. I understand it in some case, but in some others I don't. I don't understand how anyone could turn against The Dragon. He's so darned likable. On the other hand, I understood the boredom with Hulkamania after a while.
But then, I don't get the hatred that so many people have towards John Cena. However, my case is interesting in that I stepped away from wrestling when I went to grad school and just kind of never bothered to get back into it for a long time. I basically missed everything that happened from 2005-2012. I've missed most of Cena's run at the top. Maybe if I'd have seen those 8 years of him, I would think differently. However, in my case, when I started paying attention again, I didn't care much for Cena's character, so I accepted the boos from the part of the audience that does that. However, I grew to respect his work ethic. He may not be the best worker in the world, but when you put him in a marquee match, he will give it his all and I respect that. I also respect what he does for the kids and his Make-a-Wish. I accept and support the notion that his character needs to remain as it is for that segment of the audience. However, through his recent real life program with Bray Wyatt, I've really come around on him and, dare I say, like him. I love Bray Wyatt, too, but thanks to that feud, I think I have a better understanding of who John Cena the wrestler is and I like him for what he is in today's WWE.
And with John Cena being who he is and BCCW based in his backyard, it is very fitting that he is the sentimental favourite and honourary captain of the Union. This is one hell of a dream team. An unlikely one that probably doesn't fit the bill in any other Mash-Up Universe - or territory within this one - but it works so well in BCCW. Cena, André, Sheamus, RVD and Bruno! Wow! Triple H, Hollywood Hulk Hogan, The Nature Boy, AA and Jeff Jarrett. Talk about your star studded main event. The outcome was never truly in doubt. I guess mostly because you just really couldn't see BCCW jettisoning Cena, Sheamus and RVD - all staples of the territory - at the same time. Plus, what is wrestling if it isn't, at it's heart, a story about the forces off good conquering the forces of evil. There are so many different ways of telling this classic story, but in the end, the good guys should always come out on top.
I love the way you told the story of this match. It was a great way to cap off a story that was a year(+) in the making. It was on a slow build for a long time and, sure, we didn't know who the bad guys were until last fall, but even then, you're talking like 8-9 months of the Illuminati running roughshod on this territory and to finally see Super Cena, Sheamus and friends end BCCW's long fight with cancer, not by beating it into remission but by curing it!
Now, it will be interesting to see what you have in store for us with Bedlam in Boston coming up next. One usually thinks of the Wrestlemanias and Starrcades to be the end point of huge feuds and stories, but you've chosen to wrap up your biggest season long story arch a month early, which means that BCCW will have to go in some new and fresh directions to put together its biggest show of the year. I'm certainly looking forward to finding out what will be in store for us!

Wow what a card and show my man. You really outdid yourself on this card.
The Wargames was by far one of the best reads I have read in quite sometime. I loved the card from top to bottom.
I was SHOCKED that Brock didn't go over. I would have lost a lot of money on that match, cause I thought for sure Brock would go over, but I loved the switch from him losing to comeback and just demolish Casey. It was awesome. It was a great turn and I loved it.
This show was full of surprises and the biggest was seeing Bruno come back to his roots in BCCW. I didn't see that coming at all. I was expecting Lou Thesz or somebody. I never thought we would see Bruno but I loved it, and he is the perfect partner to help kill off The Illuminati.
Awesome show my man.

I’ll agree with the others that I didn’t see many of these decisions coming. I thought the Illuminati would go over here and for sure Brock Lesnar would defeat Steve Casey. Instead you channeled a bit of Lesnar’s return match against Cena at Extreme Rules and gave Crusher the victory. Though Brock certainly wound up on the winning end of that exchange. Many things to look forward to, but I especially wonder what you have in mind for Sonnenberg now. He seems to be forever hovering around the upper card is a championship contender in any weight division he settles. But would some kind of heel turn or character change freshen him up a bit? Or do you plan on keeping him a gatekeeper? Lots of things going on in the main event, maybe a little too much if I must be critical. Jarrett’s inclusion in particular seems especially ham fisted. He doesn’t have much of a history in BCCW and only seems to show up as a harbinger of bad things to come for whatever team he’s aligned with. Count me among those that see no value or interest in a “dream” match featuring Jeff freakin Jarrett. I did like the appearance of Bruno as the 5th man though, that was awesome. Overall it was a great show and dare I say more tame than any of the other Scene of the Crime cards that preceded it. The hardcore stipulations were in place yes, and War Games is as brutal as they come, but it still seemed less bloody and graphic than most of your previous works. I see that as a sign of maturity. Good job. 10 out of 10 points from me.
